Let’s work together!
The Process
-
Fill in the form below, as best as you’re able.
I’ll then be in touch through email or call, to get a fuller idea of what you’re seeking, as well as confirmation of what to expect to pay for the end project.
Once you’ve decided you’d like to go ahead, I will send you a link to paying your reservation fee. You can pay upfront if you’d like to. -
I require at least one primary photo to work from, and encourage more if the quality is poor.
This can be a stage where there is some back and forth, communication and suggestion, before choosing what works best. You can provide photos to me through scanning or mobile, as long as a reflective shine is not present. Postal is also an option.
In the event the only photo options are of poor quality (old, faded, etc), I will always work closely with you to ensure a true likeness of your pet or person.
I cannot make up features, unless directed and agreed by yourself. -
Once I’ve drawn out an initial draft with basic shading, I’ll share this with you to check you’re happy with the overall composition. This is a stage that amendments are relatively easy.
For the most part, I tend to avoid sending progress pictures unless requested.
When the portrait has reached the ‘almost complete’ stage, I’ll show you a watermarked version of it. This will be the final opportunity to ask for any minor adjustments. When you’re completely happy, you can make the final payment and I will then send your portrait out to you.
-
Whilst I would like to share the finished portrait on my website and socials, I appreciate that you may not want this - especially if the portrait is a gift. Please let me know if you’d like to keep the portrait private.
-
I will usually put a small signature somewhere on the drawing - if you’re having a printed digital portrait, or a paper portrait, I can put my signature and date of completion on the back.
If you’d like me to write anything specific, like the name of the subject, I’m happy to do so.
